Wexford Youths have announced their squad for the 2012 First Division season. Youths manager Shane Keegan has assembled a 21 man team as they look to vastly improve on their 2011 campaign.

Having lost the trio of Darragh Walshe, Packie Holden and Ben Ryan to neighbours Waterford United, Keegan has built upon the core of last year's and introduced a number of new faces.

Talking to Wexford Youths official website, Keegan, who replaced Noel O'Connor as manager in December, revealed some of the new faces that will be playing First Division football next season.

"Two centre halves, Jamie [Carr] and Scally [James Scallan], have both signed. We have signed the two Nolans (Shane and Brian). The usual regulars are signed back. There are a number of younger players coming through. The panel is looking very strong."

With Packie Holden departing, the Youths boss has introduced a new keeper to the panel.

"Graham Doyle in goal is a new lad. He's a huge addition to the panel and hopefully will have a very big season for us."

On being told the odds of Wexford Youths winning the league were 100 to 1, Keegan jokingly retorted  'Sounds about fair alright', before going on to lay down Wexford intentions of not fearing  any opposition they encounter.

"When you see how many points Limerick finished ahead of everybody else and how many Waterford and Longford finished ahead of the rest, they realistically should be fighting it out.

"But after that, we think we have a strong panel, a strong team taking shape and we are not going to fear anyone."
