Conor Kane, Andrew Quinn and Ryan Brennan have all re-signed with FAI Cup holders Drogheda United ahead of the 2025 campaign.

All three players played a key role for Kevin Doherty’s side after they won the FAI Cup and secured their top-flight status with a play-off final win over Bray Wanderers.

Kane, 26, returned to Drogheda last season after spending the second half of the 2023 season on loan from Shelbourne.

Kane has now made 187 appearances in Claret & Blue across seven seasons.

“It feels amazing to sign back for the club, especially with last season being such a special season for everyone associated with the club. We have a great group and I can’t wait to get going again next season,” he said.

Quinn, who scored in the Cup final win over Derry City, returns in defence and will be a boost for the Co Louth side.

The 22-year-old returned to the club ahead of last season, after playing for Shelbourne in 2023.

Quinn made 32 appearances during his first spell at the club in 2022. The defender made a further 36 appearances in 2024, scoring four times.

And experienced Brennan remains, having already made 209 appearances for Drogheda.

He added: “I was delighted to get the deal done as soon as I arrived home from holiday. It was all positive when I spoke with Kevin and I’m really happy to be staying for another year.

“We have a big opportunity this year to try and progress in a European adventure too.”
