Burnley has welcomed forward Luca Koleosho to their ranks, securing him from Spanish side Espanyol.

The Italian U19 international has committed to a four-year contract at Turf Moor, marking the Clarets’ sixth signing of the summer.

Born in the USA to a Nigerian father and Italian-Canadian mother, Koleosho first got his start in soccer with the Manhattan Kickers.

The family later moved to Spain where he pursued his football career with Reus Football Club.

Koleosho was later snapped up by Espanyol in 2016, where he successfully advanced through the academy ranks to make five appearances in La Liga before his move to Burnley.

The 18-year-old has represented the USA at the U15 level and was even summoned to Canada's senior side last year, although he didn't get the chance to play.

Currently, Koleosho is part of Italy's U19 squad after receiving his first call-up earlier this year.

On his move to Burnley, Koleosho shared his excitement, saying, "It feels amazing to be here. As soon as I got the call from the coach, I knew I wanted to come here. We spoke about the way they would help me improve and get better as a player and I was just excited by it, I can't wait to get started now."
