Republic of Ireland international Megan Campbell, alongside five other players, will be parting ways with Liverpool FC Women at the close of the season as their contracts expire.

The players' departure marks the end of a memorable chapter in their careers as they helped secure the Reds' impressive return to the Barclays Women’s Super League this season.

Campbell has been a key player in the Liverpool women's team over the last two seasons. She demonstrated her versatility and skills as both a left-back and centre-back, playing crucial roles in the team's matches.

Campbell's expertise in set-piece delivery stood out as a significant factor in the club's Championship victory, and her considerable WSL experience proved invaluable upon Liverpool's return to the top division.

Also exiting the club are Charlotte Clarke, Ashley Hodson, Carla Humphrey, Leighanne Robe, and Rhiannon Roberts.

These players have contributed substantially to Liverpool FC Women's successes over the past few seasons, from the Championship triumph to their current Women's Super League campaign.

Liverpool FC Women manager, Matt Beard, paid tribute to the departing players, “I know our fans will join me in wishing all the players moving on the very best of luck in the future. It is a natural part of football for squads to evolve and change but we will be following their future progress with great interest."

The Reds' final game of the Women’s Super League season against Manchester United at Prenton Park will be an opportunity for supporters to bid farewell and thank the players for their significant contributions.
