Former Dundalk youth Tadhg Walsh joins USL League Two side Lane United

Former Dundalk youth Tadhg Walsh has joined USL League Two side Lane United in the United States.

Walsh is a midfielder by trade and hails from Dublin.

And he is the latest Irish player to sign for a USL League Two side after former Cabinteely and Bray Wanderers midfielder Vilius Labutis joined FC Tucson.

However, Walsh will not play against Labutis in league action with the pair taking part in different sections of the league.

Tucson ply their trade in the south-west division, while Lane United are in the north-west division.

Walsh played underage football with St Kevin's Boys and Malahide United before joining Dundalk’s under-17 squad for 2021.

In February 2022 he was included in pre-season for Stephen O'Donnell's senior side before moving to the United States to study last year.

He also played for the Lilywhites at under-19 level.
