League Preview: Galway United -v- Wexford

GALWAY UNITED

League leaders Galway United host play-off chasing Wexford at Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday night (kick-off is at 7.45pm).

The Tribesmen recorded a statement win over Waterford last weekend to move ten points clear of their closest challengers in the table.

But they will need to refocus their minds this week ahead of their latest test at home against Wexford.

"We welcome James Keddy and his team to Eamonn Deacy Park," boss John Caulfield said.

“We had a fantastic result on Friday against Waterford and we’re looking for another bumper crowd to create a great atmosphere like we had last week.

“Wexford have a lot of talent in their squad with the likes of Aaron Dobbs, Ethan Boyle and Conor Levingston, they’ve invested in some really good players this year.

“We’re looking forward to the game, but we know we have to be at our best.”

WEXFORD

After picking up four points from their last two games, James Keddy brings his play-off chasing side to Corribside.

The Slaneysiders endured a patchy start to the season, but they have started to motor in the right direction in the last ten days.

They began the month with a stunning 1-0 win away to Waterford with Aaron Dobbs netting the winner for Keddy's side.

And last week they recorded a 1-1 draw against Bray Wanderers at Ferrycarrig Park.

Those results coincided with the return of Dobbs and Brandon McCann to their first-team squad following injuries.

Conor Levingston has also returned to the fold.

However, Aaron Robinson and Thomas Considine remain long term injury absentees. Evan Farrell may return.

Referee: Paul Norton.
