Rianna Jarrett has signed for a second spell at Wexford Youths after three seasons in England with Brighton and Hove Albion and London City Lionesses.

The 28-year-old Republic of Ireland striker previously spent nine years with Wexford, beginning her spell at the club in the first season of the WNL back in 2011/12. She went on to win four league titles with Wexford as well as playing in three FAIW Cup winning teams.

Jarrett won the WNL Player of the Year award in both 2018 and 2019 and having scored 53 times in those two seasons she signed for Brighton in January of 2020. Eighteen months later she dropped down a division to join the Lionesses in the Summer of 2021.

Having suffered three ACL injuries in her time with Wexford, Jarrett again fell victim to knee injuries in her time in London and having finally recovered she decided to end her time in England and return to Wexford.
She joins a side that finished fourth in last season’s table despite maintaining their title challenge right up to the last day of the season and she will compete for a place alongside new signing Emily Corbet who scored 23 goals for Athlone Town in 2022.
