Cork City’s manager Colin Healy has announced his latest re-signing ahead of the 2023 season.

City had a successful season last year in which they won the First Division title and promotion back to the Premier Division. They have been very proactive in retaining the core element of the side for the campaign ahead. What they needed was players flexible enough to play different positions.

Adaptability is a key feature of Bargary. The 22-year-old academy graduate played 28 times last season and in a variety of different positions. His best form came on the left wing where he contributed a number of assists and four goals including an excellent effort away to Longford.

When speaking afterwards he said “It was a very memorable season for all of us, especially those of us who came through the academy together. To win the league at Turner’s Cross in front of a huge crowd was a really special moment.

“The crowds we were getting show how big this club is and the fans were unbelievable last season. We can’t wait to play in front of them again next season, and I am sure the place will be packed for the opening game of the season.”

Cork kick off their season with a home game against Bohemians on 17th of February.
