The goalkeeper who spent the last two seasons with Shamrock Rovers is back with the club where he started his career.
Horgan made 19 competitive games for the Hoops over the last two seasons and battled for the number one role with Tomer Chencinski before the Hoops brought Alan Mannus back to Tallaght and also promoted Gavin Bazunu into the role.
Horgan said his goodbyes to the Rovers squad on Friday evening just before their 2-0 friendly win over Brentford before hitting the road west.
Kevin, the younger brother of Daryl and Colm Horgan, was signed intially by Galway from Salthill Devon in June 2015.
He made his debut in the last game of the 2015 season against St. Patrick's Athletic, before making three league appearances in 2016.
