Damien Duff and Glenn Cronin showcase some Christmas street football
Get your hands off the last of the selection boxes, give the games console a break and grab your football – it is time to get out on the street.
Shamrock Rovers academy coaches Glenn Cronin and Damien Duff have put together a series of quick videos showing off some of the drills made for the mean streets of whatever housing estate you want.
So don't mind the Xbox, how about some Xmas street football. All you need is a ball, maybe a couple of club orange bottles and a sharp eye to avoid any cars coming your way down the street.

Both Duff and Cronin are part of Stephen Bradley’s coaching staff with the Rovers first team, with Duff also managing the under 15 Hoops side in the National League.
If you are sick of hearing ‘where are all the street footballers gone?’ get inspired by Duff, one of Ireland’s most celebrated street footballers showcasing some Christmas streetscape action.
Duff and Cronin run through a range of games including the Triangle, Football Tennis, Don’t drop the ball using the wall, Toes and Reaction, Two Touch the Chase Game and Space Invaders! And remembers as Glenn Cronin says “Football loves us!”
