This week’s Extratime.ie Sportscast is the second in a series of special panel discussions where we invite a number of special guests into the studio to chat about a selection of topics around Irish football.

Our first panel featured Pat Devlin, Director of Football at UCD, and John O’Sullivan, former Cork City FC Chairman and ex-CEO at Athlone Town and Limerick FC and focused on what is being run well in the league, as well as looking at what can be done to improve football in Ireland. The level of coaching, club facilities and marketing of the league were discussed. You can listen to that panel here.

Our second panel features Niamh O’Mahony, board member with Cork City Football Club, Liam Ward, board member with Shelbourne Football Club and Extratime.ie reporter and Shamrock Rovers member Macdara Ferris. Our host as always is Gareth O’Reilly.

Their chat focused on volunteerism in the League of Ireland as well as an indepth chat about fan ownership of clubs. In the final part of the show the panel discussed club licencing.
