Cork unveil 2015 squad numbers

Following the lead of St Patricks Athletic earlier today, Cork City FC have also announced the first team squad numbers for the 2015 season.

New signings Gavan Holohan, Kieran Djilali, Dave Mulcahy and Karl Sheppard will wear numbers 8, 10, 14 and 19 respectively. They will take the jerseys of Darren Murphy senior, Cillian Morrison and Brian Lenihan. Nobody wore the number 14 jersey for the rebel army last season.

Other changes to the squad numbers for the coming season see’s John Kavanagh wearing number 2 for the coming season, having worn number 3 in 2014, while Dan Murray also changes to wearing number 6 for the coming season taking the number of the recently departed Gearóid Morrissey after wearing 17 last year.

New signing Liam Miller will join the squad later in the month and his squad number will be confirmed at that point. There is still a few signings to be added to the club but John Caulfield has indicated earlier in the week that they will only be local and amateur players.
