Shamrock Rovers sign midfielder Cregg

Shamrock Rovers have signed midfielder Patrick Cregg for the remainder of the season.

The 28 year-old joins up with Pat Fenlon’s team immediately and the Hoops hope to have him in the squad for Friday night's game pending international clearance.

Dublin-born Cregg started his senior career with Arsenal before moving to Scottish side Falkirk making over 100 appearance for the Bairns. Over the next five years, the former Irish underage International had spells with Hibernian, Greenock Morton, St. Mirren, Bury and St Johnstone.

Cregg becomes the first signing for new Hoops manager Fenlon. The former Hibernian boss will be hoping to maintain his 100% record when Rovers travel to Athlone on Friday night.
