There are nine matches down for decision in the SSE Airtricity League on Friday night with a full programmes of games in the Premier Division.

Leaders Dundalk face in-form Sligo Rovers in the match of the evening. After a poor start Sligo have put together an eight game unbeaten run and, having beaten Dundalk in the Setanta Sports Cup Final two weeks ago, they will travel to Oriel Park in confidence.

Second place Cork City are at Bray Wanderers while third placed Shamrock Rovers are at home to Bohemians in a Dublin derby at Tallaght Stadium.

Champions St Patrick’s Athletic, who currently lie fourth, travel to Thomond Park to face Limerick while Peter Hutton makes his home debut as Derry City manager with Drogheda United, who lost 7-0 in midweek to Louth neighbours Dundalk, providing the opposition.

Bottom of the table Athlone Town have just one point from 13 games and will be looking to add to their total when they face UCD at home.

In the First Division leaders Shelbourne are away to Finn Harps while Waterford United will be looking to build on last week’s win over Wexford Youths at home to Longford Town. Bottom side Cobh Ramblers entertain third placed Galway at St Colman’s Park.

The weekend’s tenth game takes place on Sunday afternoon when Shamrock Rovers meet Wexford Youths in the First Division at Tallaght Stadium.
