Ireland to face Portugal in New Jersey

The Republic of Ireland’s summer schedule has been finalized with four games taking place across two continents.

 

The “home” leg fixtures see Ireland take on Turkey (ranked 39th in the World) in the Aviva Stadium on the 25th May with a clash against Italy (ranked 9th) taking place on the 31st May in Craven Cottage, Fulham. Ireland last played at London venue when they defeated Oman 4-1 back in September 2012.

 

The second part of the summer plans takes place in the United States as the ‘Boys in Green’ face Costa Rica (ranked 34th) on June 6 at PPL Park in Philadelphia (KO 8 p.m., Eastern Time) and Portugal (ranked 3rd) four days later on June 10 (KO 7.45pm Eastern Time) at Met Life Stadium, New Jersey.

 

Tickets for the match against Turkey are on sale now through www.fai.ie. Tickets for the Italy match are on sale through www.fulhamfc.com. Tickets for supporters intending to travel from Ireland for the matches in the USA will be available through the FAI. Details will be published on www.fai.ie on Tuesday.
