Sander’s Biography

Sander started off his career at SK10 Premium before moving to Levadia Tallinn in 2005. He stayed with the club for four years before moving to Greek club Larissa in December 2009. He started off well but a repeated changing in managers saw him move out on loan to Polish club Korona Kielce, from January 2011 until June, and then to Hungarian club Lombard-Pápa TFC, from July 2011 to January 2012. On his return to Larissa in January, Sander cancelled his contract by mutual consent.

Sander signed for Finnish Veikkausliiga side KuPS in March 2012. He went on to have a good season, scoring twice in nineteen league games before also scoring in the 1-0 win over Bursapor in the first leg of the Third Round of the Europa League, although they were eliminated after the Turkish club won their home leg 6-0. Puri also scored the winning goal against MYPA in the semi-final of the Finnish Cup, although he was then sent off in the loss to Honka in the final. He left the club in December 2012.

The next stop for Sander was Scotland, as signed for St. Mirren in March 2013 on a deal until the end of the season. He went on to make three appearances for the club before leaving the club in May. He then signed for League Two side York City on a one-year deal in June 2013. He went on to make eight league appearances and three in cup competitions as York finished sixth but lost to Fleetwood Town in the semi-finals of the play-offs. He left the club in May 2014.

He returned to Levadia Tallinn for short time before signing for Owen Heary at Sligo Rovers in January 2015, his ninth club in his eighth country. He went on to make 27 league appearances, scoring four goals in the process, as Sligo finished ninth in the Premier Division. He left the club at the end of the 2015season. One year late, in January 2017, Sander returned to the LOI when he signed for Pat Fenlon at Waterford FC. In November 2017 Sander committed to join Waterford in the Premier Division in 2018.
