Erik’s Biography
Erik Berg (né Johansson) is a defender who came through the youth set up at Swedish Superettan side Falkenbergs FF. He graduated to the first team in 2008 and, playing as a midfielder, he scored an impressive 18 goals in 102 appearances during his four seasons with the club.
In September of 2011 Erik transferred to GAIS of the Allsvenskan where he made 7 appearances at the tail end of that season. The following year he scored four times in 28 games which was enough to tempt Rikard Norling to sign him for Malmö in 2013. He spent three seasons at the club before joining KAA Gent in Belgium in July 2015.
He didn't last long there though as he then joined FC Kobenhavn in January 2016 and was with them when he was included in the Sweden squad for the 2016 European Championship.
