Emil’s Biography
Emil is a winger who was born in Sundsvall, Sweden and he plays for Swedish Allsvenskan side Malmö FF.
Emil made his league debut for Superettan (second division) team GIF Sundsvall in 2009 and made 19 league appearances that year. He quickly became a firm fixture in the starting eleven, scoring seventeen goals in 57 league games over the following two seasons. In 2012 GIF played in the Allsvenskan and Emil scored another six times, although the team were relegated at the end of the year.
Upon the opening of the January transfer window in 2013, Emil signed for Malmö FF on a four year deal. He was only there for two seasons though before moving to German side RB Leipzig in January 2015. He was playing with them when he was included in the Sweden squad for the 2016 European Championship.
