James ’s Biography
James Knowles spent his early career at Lisburn Youth before joining Blackburn in 2008. He progressed from the academy to play for Blackburn Rovers’ reserve side and in 2011, at the age 18, Knowles played in a senior pre-season friendly game for Blackburn Rovers.
Knowles signed for Cliftonville in September 2012 ane made his debut against Ballinamallard United on the ninth of October 2012. He then signed a one year deal with Linfield in May 2013 and spent one season there, including a loan spell at Ards. He left Linfield in the summer of 2014 to return to Cliftonville.
James has also represented Northern Ireland at U/21 level.
