Alex’s Biography
Alex is a defender who played with Salthill Devon's U19 side in 2012/13. He also played for the Irish Schools side in 2013. In 2013 Alex graduated to Salthill's senior side, then competing in the First Division of the LOI. He made his league debut against Finn Harps on 14 June and made 10 league appearances over the latter half of the 2013 season.
In February 2014 Alex signed for Tommy Dunne at the newly formed Galway FC ahead of their inaugural season in the First Division. Alex went on to make 17 league appearances for Galway as they qualified for the promotion play-offs and it was in the second leg of the play-off final with UCD that he scored his first goal for the club. Galway beat UCD and were promoted to the Premier Division.
Alex added a further 22 league appearances to his career tally in the 2015 season as Galway finished tenth in the Premier Division. And in 2016 he made 17 more league appearances after a groin injury hampered the early part of his season. In December 2017, Alex re-signed with Galway for the 2018 season.
