Jan’s Biography

Jan is a Slovakian international goalkeeper who began his career with Inter Bratislava. He later signed for MSK Zilina where he twice won the Slovakian league and cup double. In 2005 he moved to Polish side Legia Warsaw and in July 2010, shortly after he appeared at the World Cup Finals in South Africa, he signed for Everton.

After three years in Merseyside, Jan moved to Russian side Krylia Sovetov, spending two seasons there, during which he spent time on loan at another Russian side Arsenal Tula. In June 2015, Jan returned to Slovakia joining Slovan Bratislava and soon after he faced UCD in both legs of the Second Round Qualifiers of the 2015/16 Europa League.

Jan was named in the Slovakia squad to take on the Republic of Ireland in March 2016. He was also included in Slovakia's squad for the 2016 European Championship.
