Sligo Rovers make the trip to Richmond Park this Friday evening to face St. Patrick’s athletic for the third time in four matches. (kick off 7.35pm)
This will be the third meeting of the side in the last 10 days with Pat's securing a comfortable 6-2 win over Rovers in the Setanta Cup.
Pete Mahon rested Ryan Guy, Dave Mulcahy, Stuart Byrne and Damien Lynch for Tuesday night’s 4-0 win over Bray at the Carlisle Grounds.
Midfielder Stuart Byrne who was struggling with a back injury is expected to be available for selection and, without any player suspensions Mahon will have a full squad to choose from.
“After the disappointment of losing here against Drogheda United two weeks ago, to follow that up with two wins against Sligo Rovers in the semi-final of the Setanta Cup and again on Tuesday night win against Bray was very pleasing”, Manager Pete Mahon said.
“It was just the response I wanted from the players and it's great to have a final to look forward to. It's not ideal to be playing a team three times in such a short space of time and my players will have to guard against a backlash. Sligo are the only unbeaten team in the Premier League, so if you want to know how good they are, look no further than that statistic”, he said.
Sligo Rovers welcome Joesph Ndo to their squad for the first time on Friday night. Ndo has received clearance from the FAI to make his debut but it remains to be seen what role he plays having failed to take part in a competitive fixture this year.
The Bit o' Red have no injury doubts or suspensions for the game.
