Allan Saint-Maximin's transfer to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli is now official.

The French forward has signed a contract with the Saudi side that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2025-2026 season.

Saint-Maximin's move to Al-Ahli ends his four-year spell with English club Newcastle United.

During his tenure with the Magpies, the Frenchman made 124 appearances, scored 13 goals, and provided 21 assists.

He was instrumental in Newcastle's rise in the Premier League, helping the club secure a spot in the UEFA Champions League last season and leading them to the Carabao Cup final.

Al-Ahli's successful signing of Saint-Maximin is the latest in a series of high-profile acquisitions by the Saudi side, following the transfers of Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, and Edouard Mendy from Premier League clubs.

Saint-Maximin took to social media to express his excitement over his move to Al-Ahli and his gratitude to the club.

He also spoke about his anticipation to experience the energy of the fans and the competitiveness of the Saudi League.

At the same time, the Frenchman penned a heartfelt farewell message to Newcastle United, reflecting on his journey with the club and the city.

Saint-Maximin confessed his deep affection for Newcastle and its people, highlighting his unwavering dedication to the team, even in difficult times.

He wrote: "Believe me, I fell for Newcastle, I had great opportunities to leave during dark days, but that was too late. I was already in love, I wanted, I needed, I had to stay for helping my team to save the club from Premier League relegation because it meant the world for me."

As he bids goodbye to Newcastle, Saint-Maximin promises that he will continue to be the club's biggest supporter, watching every game and cheering on the team.

The forward concluded his message with a heartfelt declaration: "Once a Geordie, always a Geordie."
