Watch: Sligo Rovers lead the champions Dundalk through Jack Keaney's free kick

Sligo Rovers have taken a shock half-time lead at the home of the champions thanks to Jack Keaney’s free kick.

The Donegal man, who was recently called up to former Dundalk boss Stephen Kenny’s first Ireland under-21 squad, curled home from 35 yards just before the break.

There seemed to be little on as the 20-year-old lined up the set piece from range, but he bent a low shot around the wall and low into the corner of Gary Rogers’ net.

Dundalk had earlier spurned a chance to go behind from the spot as Ed McGinty saved from Patrick Hoban, after Robbie Benson had been stretchered off following an unfortunate collision.
