Watch: Graham Burke buries a first-time volley to score his first league goal for Preston North End

Graham Burke continues to take to English football with the ease to which Shamrock Rovers fans are accustomed, scoring on his first league start against Stoke City.

The striker scored on the stroke of half time to give Preston North End a 2-1 lead over the recently-relegated Stoke side, for whom James McClean was a starter.

The 24-year-old was in the right place to get on the end of a sliced shot from his future Ireland teammate Callum Robinson.

And few League of Ireland fans will have been surprised to see him bury the ball with a first-time volley having tormented their sides' defences over the past 18 months.

Former England striker Peter Crouch came off the bench to score the equaliser – and his 200th league goal – as the game finished two apiece.
