Watch: Eoghan Stokes scores to give Bohemians another priceless derby day win in Tallaght

Bohemians made it three wins from four over their fierce rivals Shamrock Rovers with a 1-0 victory at Tallaght Stadium on Friday night.

Eoghan Stokes – who spent time in Tallaght on trial in pre-season before joining Bohs – came off the bench to score the winner midway through the second half.

Bohs having bossed the first half without creating a breakthrough, the momentum swung to Rovers after the break, but it was the visitors who nabbed the only goal of the game.

A mix-up in the Rovers defence ended with Joey O'Brien clashing with Keith Buckley in a 50/50 that saw the Bohs man emerge with the ball.

He picked out Keith Ward in space but Roberto Lopes was able to get back and make the tackle but he tripped over Ward on his way to clearing the ball.

That left a clear path for Stokes to stroll in and slot the ball past goalkeeper Alan Mannus to send the visiting support into raptures.
