Breast Check unit in The Showgrounds

Sligo Rovers have confirmed that a Breast Check mobile clinic is to be installed in The Showgrounds for the foreseeable future.

The move comes after the mobile clinic was unable to be secured in the centre of Sligo town

The club agreed to offer the use of the ground to resolve the issue.

The unit is expected to be operational from the end of July and will remain at The Showgrounds for approximately six months.

“The club’s committee were delighted to approve this development,” Sligo Rovers chairman Martin Heraghty said in a statement on the club’s website.

“The Showgrounds is a place for the people of Sligo – and sometimes not just in sport. We will continue to strive to achieve our goals in the community. 

“We receive significant financial backing from the public and know that arrives not just for the benefit of on-the-pitch, but off-the-pitch as well.”
