Casey McQuillan returns to Shelbourne as academy director

Casey McQuillan has been announced as the Director of Football for the women’s and girl’s academy section at Shelbourne.

The position is a role which has been created specifically to fall in line with new governance structures at the club.

McQullian returns to a club he is very familiar with, having managed the Women’s National League side as recently as 2016.

He on the league as coach of Raheny United, and was manager as the women's section of the club merged with Shelbourne.

He will bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role with a UEFA A License among his list of qualifications as well.

McQuillan was most recently in charge of Kilkenny United's national league side and guided them to a first-ever senior win over Galway in July 2017.

The main duties of McQuillan's new role include overseeing the full women’s and girl’s academy section at the club and to manage and supervise all coaching and development within the academy.
