Watch: Ireland men's team show their support for the Girls in Green ahead of crunch Norway games

Friday evening sees the Republic of Ireland's women's national team play the first of arguably the two biggest games in their recent history as they face Norway in a crucial World Cup qualifier.

The Girls in Green have never reached the finals of a major tournament before, and will likely need to do it the hard way, through the play-offs, if they're to make it this time around.

In their way stand the group's top seeds, and former World Cup winners, Norway, who travel to Tallaght Stadium for the first game of a double-header this weekend.

Ahead of the first of two meetings in five days with the Norwegians, a selection of the men's national team have linked up with sponsors Three to record a good luck message.

Captain Seamus Coleman, as well as Jon Walters, David Meyler, Declan Rice and John Egan, recorded the below message to show their support for the Girls in Green.

Ireland goalkeeper Marie Hourihan spoke to the extratime.ie Sportscast about her journey to the number one shirt ahead of the Norway double-header.
