WATCH: Graham Burke becomes the first League of Ireland player to score for Republic of Ireland in 40 years
Shamrock Rovers striker Graham Burke celebrated his first senior International start for the Republic of Ireland against the USA.
His day got even better on 56 minutes when the former Aston Villa and Notts County player scored his first senior International goal.
In scoring, Burke became the first League of Ireland player to score for Ireland since Shamrock Rovers' Ray Treacy in a 4-2 win over Turkey at Lansdowne Road in April 1978.
Before the game could restart, Burke was substituted for former League of Ireland favourite Daryl Horgan for his 4rd Irish cap.
