Referee Rob Harvey set to take charge at U17 European Championships Final

Airtricity League and Fifa International Referee Rob Harvey is to set to take charge of his first game in the Under-17 European Championship Finals in the U.K. this weekend.

The 29-year-old Dubliner began refereeing in the NDSL in 2005 before making the change from schoolboy refereeing to the Amateur Football League in Dublin the following year.

After a number of years taking charge of games in the Amateur Football League Harvey made his officiating debut in the League of Ireland in June 2010 and has since built up his portfolio of domestic games to include the F.A.I Cup and the E.A Sports Cup.

On the international front, at the beginning of 2016 Harvey was officially promoted and confirmed to the FIFA International Referees List and this weekend will see the Dubliner achieve another first when he makes his debut as an official at the Under-17 European Championship Finals, taking place in the in the UK.
