Seagulls sign Daniel McKenna on six month loan deal ahead of season's start

Bray Wanderers have announced the signing of midfielder Daniel McKenna from Wolves on a six month loan deal.

The former Belvedere schoolboy signed for Wolves in 2015 as a 16-year-old and has worked his way up to the clubs U23 side to date.

On the international stage, McKenna has been capped at Irleand U15 and U18 level and last year made his debut for the U19’s.

He will join up with Dave Mackey and the Bray squad immediately ahead of their tricky season opener away to Dundalk on Friday 16 Februuary.

The Seagulls have played their first competitive game of the season already and were eliminated by St. Patrick’s Athletic losing 3-1 at home in Leinster Senior League.

Gary McCabe will captain the Seagulls for the season with Hugh Doughlas vice-captain for the Wicklow side.
