Jordan Forsythe scores a stunner for Crusaders

Crusaders, who have garnered a reputation over the festive period with some quality strikes, have hit the headlines again with a wonderful volley by Jordan Forsythe in Crusaders 3-0 victory away to Ballinamallard United.

With the game finely poised at 0-0 and Crusaders seeming to be struggling to find a bit of magic to unlock a staunch Ballinamallard defence at Ferney Park, Crusaders midfield star Jordan Forsythe uncorked an absolute peach of a strike that left Ballinamallard goalkeeper Richard Brush helpless.

With Howard Beverland launching a cross into the mixer that wasn’t entirely dealt with by the Ballinamallard defensive line, Forsythe was left free with acres of space outside the opposition’s box before he controlled the ball with a deft touch and struck the ball with precision and accuracy which left former Sligo Rovers shot-stopper Richard Brush with no chance.

Crues now lie top of the NIFL Danske Bank Premiership thanks to Stephen Baxter’s side coming out victorious in a three-nil success over the ‘Mallard at Ferney Park. The result also leaves the Ferney Park outfit rooted to the bottom of the table, trailing fellow strugglers Carrick Rangers by a total of five points.

As mentioned above, this wasn’t the only cracking strike by a Crusaders player in the last few days with Billy Joe Burns also hitting the headlines over the festive period with a fantastic strike in the Belfast’s side vital 2-1 victory away to Linfield at Windsor Park.
