Wolverhampton Wanderers to play Cork City

Cork City will welcome Championship side Wolves, to Turners Cross on Monday the 18th of July, days before a possible Europa League Second Round tie.

 

Wolves will stay at the Fota Island Resort between the 17th and 22nd of July, taking on last season’s league and cup runners up during their time on Leeside

 

Kenny Jackett, manager of the former the Premier League side said he was looking forward to the game, and to the facilities that Fota has to offer

 

“It is a good training base, with excellent facilities, and the Republic of Ireland team will be using the same base before they go to the European Championships – that shows you the quality of the place.

 

“It will be a good fixture for us to play against Cork City at the start of the week as we continue our preparations for the new season.”

 



Wolves are currently in the bottom half of the Championship, residing in 14th, only three points off QPR who are a spot above them.
