Republic of Ireland set to meet Belarus in Turners Cross

Ireland will take on Belarus in Turners Cross in their final friendly match before the squad travel to France for the European Championships, the FAI have confirmed, it will be the first time a senior international will be staged at the home of Premier Division side, Cork City.

 

After Martin O’Neill’s side face The Netherlands in The Aviva Stadium, the team will travel down to Fota Island Resort in Cobh, which has hosted the likes of West Ham, West Brom and Birmingham City in the past.

 

This fixture will also mark the first time that these two sides have faced off against each other. The game will take place on the 31st of May, with tickets details to be announced in due course.
